Quotes
from our patrons |

"Some
things seem to touch deep to the soul and soothe it at the same time
like your music." C. F.
"A unique sound. Deeply spiritual, even heavenly.
This must be what heaven sounds like."
G. H.
"I call your recordings vitamins for the soul".

All of our recordings are
graced with the sounds of Celtic harp, hammered dulcimer, wooden
flutes, whistles, and pan flute. Our later recordings feature
additional woodwinds and keyboard along with some of our musician
friends playing a wide variety of instruments.
We also lightly touch some of
our selections with the sounds of Mother Nature as she occurs
around our homestead.

Our "State of the Art" Studio
Each of our recordings was conceived and produced in our living room
studio. This relaxed and comfortable atmosphere allows us to freely
create without the pressure of the expensive recording studio time
clock. We think this environment produces the simple, gentle, and
relaxed sound of Collecting Consort
recordings.

The Unique
Collecting Consort Recording Process
We
use a Crown SASS mic (with a variety of other high quality mics for
accent purposes), fed through a Mackie CR1604-VLZ mixer and to our
computer via
a
Dakota sound card, and Sonar
software.
We mix and edit with , Sonar, Sound Forge and Vegas software.
